Tele-Mental Health Counseling

Changes are happening daily in our community, state, country, and the world in reaction to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We do not have control over the outcome of this virus, but we do have control over planning for success. As with many plans in life, my plan to continue seeing people in-person is changing.

As of Monday, March 23, 2020

all appointments will be either tele-counseling or video-counseling until further notice.

This change may be unwanted and unexpected to many of you, and I hope that you can stick with me while we navigate these uncharted COVID-19 waters together. Rest assured, I have been practicing tele-counseling and video-counseling for 4½ years offering trauma therapy, hypnosis, CBT, Circle of Security-Parenting, marriage counseling, among other modalities, therefore, I am prepared to continue to offer you the highest level of care.

To prepare for your next appointment, I need you to do a few things:

  1. Use my text line to tell me three things:

    1. Let me know that you read this announcement.

    2. Give me the best email to reach you so I am able to send you the necessary documents and information regarding your next appointment.

    3. Indicate whether you would prefer tele-counseling (audio only by phone) or video-counseling (using Zoom app on phone or computer)

  2. Think about how you can create a safe place where you are in a room alone with no interruptions for your 45-minute session.

  3. If choosing video-counseling, ensure you have a strong enough internet signal to support video.

  4. Bring the same growth mindset that you would bring to an in-person session.

  5. For those who need to pay copays or the like, I can either send a PayPal invoice or I can securely store your credit card information.

I care about you, I want the best for you, and I will continue to bring my best to your session so we can continue to progress toward your personal therapeutic goals together regardless of what is happening all around us. I look forward to connecting soon!
